Clark County Sheriff Lombardo releases shocking new details about someone helping the Vegas shooter.

The story behind the Las Vegas shootings is still emerging. As pictures and video from the shooter’s hotel suite appeared, mainstream media pushed the idea that Stephen Paddock was a lone gunman on a suicide mission. Images from inside the room reportedly showed a suicide note, and this also supported the idea that the shooter acted alone.

In a shocking and late-breaking news conference, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo suddenly changes the entire narrative of the case. He released vital details that now support Paddock having help in the attack and that the police are also looking for a mystery woman that was in his company before the shootings.

Overall, many within law enforcement have pushed the idea that Paddock was alone to anyone that would listen. It is not clear why this has been done as details emerge that support things could not have occurred as they were initially shared with the public. Everything from small details about Paddock dining with another guest in his hotel room to new accounts from Lombardo point to the fact that this was more than a single person job.

The full press conference that Lombardo held on Wednesday went into great detail about some of the untruths that were released to the media. One such issue that was found to be false is the idea that the police found a suicide note in the hotel room.

The content of this letter has never been released, but Lombardo did share it was not a suicide note. Details are being withheld as the investigation is still active, but the sheriff shared there is evidence that the shooter was not intending to commit suicide. He seemed to have an escape plan and at some point that changed.

Lombardo also shared that previous reports about cameras in the room were only partially accurate. While there were a total of three cameras in the room, none were used as the media was told they were. A camera attached to the hotel room door gave the shooter a clear view of the hallway and then another one on some sort of cart in the hall filled in the gaps. The camera in the hotel room was not recording as previous reports stated, but instead, it was a baby monitor of sorts used to monitor in real time.

After clearing up the camera and suicide note issues, Lombardo went on to share his belief that there were more people involved in this case. Even though a previous press conference stated that the shooter’s girlfriend was a person of interest in the case, due to her travel she is not the woman he was with days before the shooting. The woman who had meals with Paddock in his hotel suite is still out there.

At this time, local authorities are pressing for answers about what occurred in the months before the shooting. The press conference gave a clear update as to the time from of the police response on October 1st. The police arrived on scene and identified where the shots were coming from within 12 minutes of the first shots being reported.

Lombardo seemed to stumble a bit during the press conference when discussing the help Paddock may have had. There were definite signs that the force was stretched thin by the last 72 hours and the sheriff looked exhausted. Even if his words at times did not seem to come easy, the sheriff made it a point to show even basic logic points to the shooter having help. According to a statement from the sheriff:

“Look at this. You look at the weapon obtaining the different amounts of tannerite available, do you think this was all accomplished on his own, face value?”
“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to insure that’s the answer. Maybe he’s a super guy, super hero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”
“Here’s the reason why, put one and one–two and two together, another residence in Reno with firearms, okay, electronics and everything else associated with larger amounts of ammo, a place in Mesquite, we know he had a girlfriend. Do you think this is all self-facing individual without talking to somebody, it was sequestered amongst himself. Come on focus folks these type of investigations have been occurring in the last few years and we have to investigate that.”
