Brave Astronaut Quotes Churchill As Left Erupts

“There is no such thing as public opinion. There is only published opinion.”—Winston Churchill

Liberals were infuriated that a U.S. astronaut praised one of the men who defeated Hitler.

In 2018, an international hero can not quote one of the strongest leaders in world history, Winston Churchill, a man who helped bring the NAZI’s to their knees, without outrage.

As the Washington Examiner has confirmedScott Kelly, a retired U.S. astronaut with many spaceflights to his credit merely quoted the beloved former Prime Minister, and fury erupted in some circles.

Kelly held the stated belief that Mr. Churchill was “one of the greatest leaders of modern times.”

Then, after socialist justice caused a fury, he backed down and wrote, “Did not mean to offend by quoting Churchill. My apologies. I will go and educate myself further on his atrocities, racist views which I do not support. My point was we need to come together as one nation. We are all Americans. That should transcend partisan politics.”

Churchill was, after all, the man who most historians think saved Europe in World War II, but he’s now on the chopping block of liberal hate and historical revisionism.

Given the way the left is leaning, most people recognize the fury against one of the only men to stand up to Hitler during the 1930’s.

In response to this, Twitter user Yossi Gestetner replied, “You are disgracing yourself here. Please stop bending to the will of deranged online trolls.”

The cosmonaut’s whole tweet read, “One of the greatest leaders of modern times, Sir Winston Churchill said, ‘in victory, magnanimity.’ I guess those days are over.

No one is even sure what the outrage was over. The former British leader was quite a drinker, according to history, but that is hardly what these trolls were referring to.

One user, , opined “Like all of us”? Ummm, not all of us have intentionally starved millions of innocent people to death in our racist colonies, while declaring, “I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes

Yes, Churchill had to bomb cites in order to bring Hitler down, and this has outraged many people who have reflected on that time period. At the same time, it is no secret that Germany had done the same to the United Kingdom and there wasn’t much that England could do but win the war.

Most people recognize a clear attempt on the left to demonize anyone who actually fought Nazi’s, since the left has become the party of Hitler in more ways than one.
