Leftist Harasses Bannon

Bookstore Owner Forced To Call Police After Woman Harasses Bannon

She approached Bannon and proceeded to scream at him and call him a “piece of trash.”

Just recently, Mike Cooke, the owner of a bookstore in Virginia called “Black Swan Books,” was forced to call the police on an unidentified woman after she started harassing Steve Bannon while he was peacefully searching for books inside the store (pictured above).

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 presidential election, the authoritarian left has become increasingly unhinged. In fact, many of them have become so deranged that they’ve recently started openly harassing Trump associates and other political opponents in public, which is an intimidation tactic that was also used, quite alarmingly, by the so-called “Brownshirts” in Nazi Germany.

Just recently, for example, Mike Cooke, the owner of a bookstore in Virginia called “Black Swan Books,” was forced to to call the police on an unidentified woman after she confronted and started harassing Steve Bannon, the former White House strategist for the Trump administration, while he peacefully browsed for books inside the store.

After the call was made, though, the unhinged leftist had ended what was plainly and simply an act of verbal terrorism and fled the store. As a result, the call ended up being canceled before the officers ever arrived.

According to reports, Bannon was basically just searching around for books and keeping to himself prior to the altercation.

“Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business,” explained Cooke, while speaking to reporters about what happened.

At some point during the former Trump associate’s time in the store, the woman reportedly approached him and called him a “piece of trash.” Shocked by her behavior, he then intervened and asked her to leave, which she refused to do.

“I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t. And I said, ‘I’m going to call the police if you don’t,’ recalled the bookstore owner. And I went to call the police and she left. And that’s the end of the story,” he added, noting, “we are a bookshop. Bookshops are all about ideas and tolerating different opinions and not about verbally assaulting somebody, which is what was happening.”

Unsurprisingly, upon learning about what happened, many liberals went on social media and promptly celebrated the harassment of Bannon and attacked Cooke for calling the police on the woman.

For example, Bill Palmer, who is the person behind the “Palmer Report,” which is a liberal blog, tweeted, “a woman peacefully confronted Steve Bannon at Black Swan Books in Richmond, Virginia. The owner of the store called the cops on her. Siding with a white supremacist like Bannon is a terrible business model. I predict Black Swan Books will be out of business soon.”

Such a tweet, however, is utterly ridiculous due to the fact that yelling at someone and calling them a “piece of trash” is in no way a “peaceful” confrontation.

Another Twitter user, whose username is “Purify,” wrote, “woman: Steve Bannon, you’re a piece of trash! Bookstore Owner: We are a bookstore! We tolerate different ideas! Also Bookstore Owner: *calls police on woman to have her removed because she expressed her different ideas.*”

This tweet is also absolutely ridiculous. There’s a massive difference between the owner of a bookstore stocking books of varying views and prohibiting some customers from harassing others.

Fortunately, though, while many on the left praised the woman for harassing Bannon and condemned the bookstore owner for calling the police, others were quick to stand up for the former Trump associate.

“Democrats wrongly think public harassment will work, but it won’t. Steve Bannon probably laughed it off knowing they’ll lose in the midterms & look back on this tactic as one of the reasons. It’s another example of lib politics where a ‘feel good’ action has the opposite effect,” tweeted one Twitter user.

“Textbook definition of an A** [hole]. We are no fans of Steve Bannon, but this bookstore owner has every right to protect his clients from harassment, regardless of who they are, why are you posting his address here? Shame on you!” wrote another Twitter user in response to a tweet revealing the address of the bookstore owner.

Alarmingly, Bannon isn’t the only person to be recently attacked for being associated with President Trump.

Earlier this month, for instance, Jennifer Rubin, who is an anti-Trump journalist and MSNBC contributor, basically called on others to adopt Brownshirt tactics and actively harass White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during an interview on vile, hate-filled rant on MSNBC.

Specifically, Rubin claimed that Sanders, who was recently kicked out of a restaurant in Virginia, doesn’t have a right to live free of any fuss and should, therefore, be given a life sentence of discomfort for allegedly “lying to the press” and “inciting against the press.”

And before that, Kathy Griffin, a well-known anti-Trump comedian, not only took back the apology that she had issued to the president for holding a fake replica of his bloodied, decapitated head during a photo shoot that took place last year but also lashed out at several of his family members.

In addition to that, Griffin also recently targeted Jeff Sessions, the current United States Attorney General (AG) for simply trying to uphold the rule of law and make the country a safer place to live.

Disturbingly, some liberal lawmakers, like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), have also lashed out at people associated with Trump and called for their harassment.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We’ve got to get the children connected to their parents,” declared Waters while speaking at an event earlier this month about illegal immigrant parents being separated from their children upon crossing the border illegally.

“We don’t know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they’re in cages. They’re in prisons. They’re in jails,” she continued, adding, “I don’t care what they call it, that’s where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this.”

And prior to that, Bill Maher, another well-known anti-Trump comedian, called Scott Pruitt, who is the now the former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an “eco-terrorist” during an episode of his show on HBO.

Later in the episode, Maher also slammed basically everyone employed at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency by comparing them, quite absurdly, to the Gestapo.

Clearly, the recent harassment of Bannon is not an anomaly, but rather, something that’s becoming an increasing trend as more and more authoritarian leftists adopt terrorist tactics.

To stop this from happening, conservatives must actively speak out against such harassment whenever it occurs. Hopefully, by doing so, more leftists will come to realize just how reprehensible their actions are and either put an end to the harassment or simply abandon the left altogether.
