Just recently, Raul Garcia Jr., a 19-year-old United States citizen and “certified” member of the extremely violent “MS-13” gang, used an AK-47 to stop traffic in Hillsborough County, Florida. Frightened, numerous motorists promptly called 911 and notified them about the situation.
When deputies with the local Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrived to arrest Garcia, a convicted felon who shouldn’t have even had a gun in the first place, he reportedly fled to a nearby wooded area. Thankfully, though, the law enforcement officials were able to eventually capture and arrest him.
“On February 18, 2018, at approximately 6 pm, Patrol District 4 deputies responded to Lenfred Drive and Palmetto Road in Wimauma for a report of an armed person seen on foot in the area,” they began in their statement.
“When deputies arrived, they learned from neighbors that the armed subject was standing in the street with long gun yelling at passing cars to stop. The subject was also jumping in front of cars in an attempt to make them stop as well,” they explained.
“Deputies began checking the area and quickly spotted a Hispanic male, later identified as Raul Garcia Jr. wearing black shorts and no shirt carrying a black and brown rifle in his hands while walking near a truck. As deputies approached Garcia, deputies ordered Garcia to stop and drop the rifle. Garcia refused and fled on foot into the nearby woods,” continued the deputies.
“Deputies assisted by K9 and an HCSO helicopter searched the wooded area and located a Norinko SKS AK-47 rifle and later a green bag that Garcia was seen carrying. Deputies searched the woods and did not locate Garcia,” they added, noting, “a search of the green backpack seen carried by Garcia, revealed three small baggies of a white crystal substance which tested positive for methamphetamine, 4 methamphetamine pipes, and five live .38 caliber rounds.”
The officers, however, made it clear that they didn’t give up looking for the dangerous criminal, stating, “deputies continued actively searching for Garcia until he was located and arrested without incident at 118420 Hwy 301 South in Wimauma earlier this morning.”
According to reports, Garcia has since been taken to the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with “possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper exhibition of a firearm, loitering and prowling, felon [in] possession of a firearm,” and three counts of “resist[ing] arrest without violence.”
Although Garcia is a citizen, many in the MS-13 gang are extremely dangerous illegal immigrants, like 19-year-old Miguel “Timido” Angel Lopez-Abrego. He was arrested several months ago for participating in the killing of an unidentified man in Wheaton, Maryland.
Sadly, it’s not entirely uncommon for someone to be harmed by an illegal alien. Earlier this month, for instance, officers with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office (BPSO) arrested Daniel Hernandez Del Angel, a 43-year-old undocumented alien from Mexico, and charged him with “first-degree rape and molestation of a juvenile” for repeatedly raping a 7-year-old girl over the course of six months.
During the investigation into the assault against the young girl, officers discovered that Del Angel, who was a “family friend” of at least 20 years, also abused the victim’s mother when she was only 11-years-old.
Upon learning this information, law enforcement officials involved in with the case announced that he would be charged for that as well.
Several months prior, a man in Montgomery County, Maryland, which is reportedly an “official sanctuary county,” witnessed Salvador Gomez-Lopez, a 46-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, urinating in public. Shocked, he confronted Gomez-Lopez and suggested that he will go to an actual restroom to relieve himself.
In response, Gomez-Lopez finished peeing, reached into his backpack, pulled out a “razor-sharp box cutter,” and proceeded to repeatedly stab the man in the face, neck, and stomach. Horrified, nearby bystanders pulled out their phones and dialed 911. Officers then promptly rushed to the scene and placed Gomez-Lopez, who tried giving them a fake name and was allegedly very “drunk and belligerent,” under arrest.
Upon learning of Gomez-Lopez’s heinous crime and subsequent arrest, ICE lodged an immigration detainer against him so that they can eventually deport him.
In addition to the detainer, he’s also facing charges of “first-degree assault, second-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure.” If convicted of all charges, he could potentially be sentenced to 38 years behind bars.
Several weeks before that, Daniel De Jesus Rangel Sherrer, a 19-year-old DACA recipient, was also arrested and charged with “first-degree murder” after he confessed to deputies at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to forcing Diana Martinez-Gonzalez, an 18-year-old high school student, into a wooded area and fatally shooting her multiple times in the head. Apparently, he killed her because she was supposedly spreading false rumors about him.
And before that, Salvador Diaz-Garcia, a 21-year-old “DREAMer” living in Washington, was arrested as well for brutally beating and raping a 19-year-old teen in her apartment complex’s gym. As a consequence, he’s facing several charges, including “second-degree assault, second-degree rape, and third-degree child molestation” and is being held on $25,000 bail.
Incidents like these underscore the importance of cracking down on dangerous gangs like MS-13 as well as illegal immigration in general. Thankfully, under President Donald Trump, this appears to be exactly what’s happening.
