“Can I Tell You About Gender Diversity?”
That is the title of a new book that is being rolled out to school children age 7 and up, in the United Kingdom.
The book was written to be a resource for children, parents, and teachers, to discuss transgenderism, and medical transitioning. Who would think that such a resource is needed?
The deranged leftists and sex activists who are trying to sexualize our children, that’s who.
The book will reportedly be used as a teaching aid in public elementary school classrooms all across England. This means the government, and by extension the taxpayers, have endorsed the program and provided funding for it.
The narrative of the book rings false from the very first paragraph.
“My name is Kit and I’m 12 years old. I live in a house with my mum and dad, and our dog, Pickle. When I was born, the doctors told my mum and dad that they had a baby girl, and so for the first few years of my life that’s how my parents raised me. This is called being assigned female at birth. I wasn’t ever very happy that way.”
Does anyone know any 12-year-olds who speak like that, or even think those types of thoughts?
We know plenty of mentally-disturbed adults who would like to put these words into children’s mouths, in order to further their perverse agenda. LGBT activist and self-identified “queer” CJ Atkinson is the author of this user’s manual for elementary school children who want to switch their gender.
It is not clear what sex Atkinson was born as. (If you can figure it out from the picture, please let us know in the comments below.)
In response to criticism about the book, Atkinson said:
“We call it trans-panic. This mud-slinging has to stop. It causes active harm. When you have a group of transgender young people, one in two will consider suicide, one in three will attempt it.”
The response is important to remember, because we’ll be hearing a lot of similar rhetoric from the mainstream media in the coming years.
The scientific and psychiatric communities have known for a very long time that homosexuals are more likely to be depressed than straight people, and much more likely to commit suicide.
According to an organization called SPEAK, or Suicide Prevention Education Awareness for Kids, the numbers on homosexual suicide are quite startling. They tell us that suicide is the leading cause of death among gay and lesbian youth, and that they are 2 to 6 times more likely than heterosexuals to commit suicide. They also report that almost half of the gay and lesbian teens they surveyed have attempted suicide more than once.
Naturally, sympathetic allies of the LGBT community are loathe to acknowledge that these suicide rates are caused by the psychological problems inherent to homosexuality, or any other sexually deviant behavior. Instead, they have waged a propaganda campaign to blame these problems on heterosexuals who simply aren’t accepting enough.
So if a young child with psychological issues attempts suicide, his playmates on the schoolyard will be blamed for bullying him into it, in order to preserve the falsehood that homosexuals or transgenders would be perfectly happy if it weren’t for those awful bigots.
Atkinson, whose book was accepted by the British government, has never written anything but mediocre poetry before. He/She/It tries to make the case that transgender education is necessary so that children will have “more options.”
According to Atkinson, children should be given the choice of what gender they wish to be, regardless of what medical reality says.
“If you identify as a girl, assigned female at birth, and you like the colour pink, you like wearing dresses and sparkly things, that’s awesome. But if you are a boy who likes pink sparkly things that’s also awesome,” said the first-time author.
“It’s not a case of saying, let’s break everything down so that there’s nothing, so there’s no meaning in anything. It’s a case of opening it up so everybody can have access to everything.”
“Everybody can have access to everything.”
That’s a great summary of the modern worldview of materialistic, secular progressives. They don’t seem to believe that there should be any limits on anything. We certainly haven’t found where they draw the line yet.
In the book, the main protagonist is called Kit. Kit doesn’t like playing with dolls or wearing dresses. At the age of three, the girl asks to be called Christopher.
“You see,” explains Kit, “I have a different gender identity than I was assigned at birth. Another name for this is called being transgender.”
The little girl begins to wear boys’ clothes, using he/him pronouns, changes the name on her birth certificate and explains that hormone blockers will stop her going through female puberty “and stop my body developing in ways that make me unhappy”.
Obviously this kind of demented garbage could only come from the mind of a mentally-ill adult who is trying to influence young children to think in terms of sexuality — before they have even celebrated their 10th birthday!
There have always been little girls who enjoyed playing with more male-oriented toys. In the past, we jokingly called them tomboys, we didn’t give them dangerous hormone treatments and convince them to get life-altering plastic surgery. And most of them grew up to be perfectly normal, happy, well-adjusted adult women, who went on to marry and have children of their own.
The same goes with young boys. Not all of them like playing with army men and getting in playground skirmishes. But again, we don’t plant the idea in these boys’ heads that there is something so horrendously wrong with them that they need to get surgery to correct God’s mistake!
The power of suggestion is extremely strong, and the predators who initiate these “education” programs are well-aware of it. The more that children are told by authority figures that being transgender is totally normal, the more children answer surveys claiming to believe they are transgender.
It’s time to reject the progressive agenda in our school system once and for all, and cutting off funding to any district that strays from basic education is probably the only way to get it done.
